The Hooglandse Kerk in Leiden has a fine tradition of hosting both foreign and Dutch choirs to perform Evensongs in our magnificent medieval church. Every year between spring and autumn we organise Evensongs on six Sundays, usually drawing a large audience. We believe in an open church and in the power of music to inspire and connect.
Visiting choirs are gladly invited to apply. Experience the wonderful acoustics of our church and sing to the accompaniment of our ‘Father’ Willis organ. If you are interested in singing in our church, please send us an e-mail with your resume and a recording.
The Evensongs always start at 17.00 o’clock. Of course, we gladly welcome you earlier to practice and to see a little of our beautiful home town of Leiden.
